About our team

Efendy is owned and operated by Somer Sivrioglu - an award winning and highly competent hands on restaurateur. In 1995, Somer decided to call Australia home and advanced his career in building and improving new restaurant concepts. Using his extensive practical experience coupled with his studies, Somer has now followed his dream to create an urban Turkish concept – unique to Australian dining.

Efendy cuisine is inspired by blend of classic Ottoman and new Istanbul cuisine recipes adapted and executed by Arman Uz and young kitchen team.
